RSS pitches Hindu religion for MP tribal

Kamal Nath says won’t allow

New Delhi: Flares of political turmoil over CAA-NRC-NPR has closed in on to the tribal state of Madhya Pradesh that constitutes of India’s 40 percent of total tribal population.
Madhya Pradesh chief minister Kamal Nath has cautioned the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) to avoid its agenda of creating a divide in the tribal population of the state by registering themselves as Hindus in the upcoming census of 2021.
A Hindi daily from Madhya Pradesh had reported that RSS in its agenda has included the census of 2021 and Hindu population has reduced significantly due to tribal registering themselves as “other religion”.
The report named Arun Kumar, a senior RSS functionary and national Prachar Pramukh informing coordination meet of RSS in Bhopal that Hindu population in 2011 came down to 69 percent from 84 percent in 1991 census.

The news, however, did not clearly mention about how the Sangh will be carrying out the task and articulated it as removing misconception in the tribal.
Madhya Pradesh CM Kamal Nath has disapproved of the Sangh’s agenda saying he will not allow the divisive policies to rise in Madhya Pradesh. The cabinet of Congress government in Madhya Pradesh had recently passed a resolution against the CAA and has remained vocal against the act.
CAA-NRC-NPR controversy has created fear amongst people where the residents may become specific on the information they provide during the census. If people get selective and share or hide specific information the government data that has remained in controversy for authenticity will still remain mired in quality challenge.
Further if Sangh is taking up such an agenda the anonymity that allows people to report information truthfully will vanish and people are most likely to misreport. Congress said that Sangh has failed to enforce CAA in the country and now has resorted to divisive measures that will not be allowed.
