Corona crisis a litmus test for the fourth term CM When Shivraj Singh Chouhan took over as the Chief Minister of Madhya Pradesh on March 23, the entire state was reeling under the fear of the Corona crisis. The biggest challenge before Chouhan was to overcome this fear and build trust among the people and restore order. He was tasked with preparing the people to follow social distancing and to take precautions to prevent corona infection. Along with this, providing the necessary resources to the health staff was also the main objective. The equipment, masks, PPE kits, testing kits, lab facilities and doctors required for the security of the patients and their families were limited in the state. Providing training and technical resources to nurses, the paramedical staff was necessary for the suspected and infected corona patients.
