Trump Blocks Permanent Immigration to USA

Says its to save jobs for immigration U USA President Donald Trump on Tuesday said he will issue an executive order to temporarily suspend immigration to the United States to protect US workers amid the economic fallout from the coronavirus outbreak. “It would be wrong and unjust for Americans laid off by the virus to be replaced with new immigrant labor flown in from abroad,” Trump said in a White House press briefing. “We must first take care of the American worker.” Trump said the executive order would only apply to immigrants seeking permanent residency in the United States, a process informally known as obtaining a green card. The order will however not affect people entering on temporary non-immigrant visas, he said. Such visas are used by tourists, business travelers and foreign workers. Chouhan Forms Micro Cabinet to Fight Mega COVID-19

No portfolios to ministers; tasked with controlling Corona spread F Five ministers were inducted into the Shivraj Singh Chouhan cabinet on Tuesday. It took nearly a month for Madhya Pradesh chief minister to form his council of ministers. The five inducted ministers include BJP leaders Narottam Mishra, Kamal Patel, and Meena Singh while two ministers, Govind Singh Rajput and Tulsi Silawat, have been inducted from the ranks of ex-Congress MLAs, who had switched over to the BJP in mid-March. The micro-sized cabinet has been formed keeping in mind the factions and recent entry of Congress’ ex-MLAs into BJP. No portfolios were awarded to the new ministers instead they have each been given responsibilities of two divisions each. WHO: “The worst is yet to come” in the Coronavirus Pandemic

The coronavirus pandemic is going to get worse, the World Health Organization warned on Monday. “Without national unity and global solidarity, trust us, the worst is yet ahead of us,” WHO Director General Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus said. “Let’s prevent this tragedy. It’s a virus that many people still don’t understand.” The virus has infected more than 2.4 million people and killed over 167,000. WHO’s warning comes as nations like Germany and Norway have started easing restrictions put in place to fight the outbreak. Tedros didn’t go into details about what could lie ahead, but he did point to politics as a reason for potentially worsening conditions. Farmer Dies After Police Assault in Madhya Pradesh

SP transferred, govt orders probe T hree days after being beaten up by police for violation of lockdown restrictions, a 50-year-old farmer in Jabalpur died on Monday. Following the death of the farmer the state government transferred the Jabalpur district superintendent of police (SP) Amit Singh to police headquarters in state capital Bhopal. Another IPS officer Siddharth Bahuguna was appointed as Jabalpur SP on Monday evening. Before his transfer former SP Amit Singh had suspended six cops. DIG (Jabalpur) Manohar Varma said a probe has been ordered into the death of Banshi Kushwah. Varma added that a video in which the victim named the policemen has been included in the probe. In the video, the victim alleged the policemen asked him about a gambling den and beat him up when he said he did not know about it. Earlier, the government had announced the facility only for government medical workers. Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan made this announcement on Saturday during the video conference in the request of private doctors to prevent Corona infection.
